TOEFL(Test of English as a Foreign Language---作為外語(yǔ)的英語(yǔ)考試)是由美國(guó)教育考試服務(wù)處(Educational Testing Service)舉辦的為申請(qǐng)去美國(guó)或加拿大等國(guó)家上大學(xué)或入研究生院學(xué)習(xí)的非英語(yǔ)國(guó)家學(xué)生提供的一種英語(yǔ)水平考試。美國(guó)教育考試服務(wù)處由1965年開始承辦此項(xiàng)考試的管理工作。以下是托福考試評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)介紹。

評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)

新托福的每部分的成績(jī)將轉(zhuǎn)換為標(biāo)準(zhǔn)分后統(tǒng)一計(jì)算,具體如下:

1、閱讀:滿分為42至45分不等,轉(zhuǎn)換為標(biāo)準(zhǔn)分后滿分為30分;

2、聽力:滿分為34至36分不等,轉(zhuǎn)換為標(biāo)準(zhǔn)分后滿分為30分;

3、口語(yǔ):滿分為24分,轉(zhuǎn)換為標(biāo)準(zhǔn)分后滿分為30分;

4、寫作:滿分為8分,轉(zhuǎn)換為標(biāo)準(zhǔn)分后滿分為30分;

因此,新托福最后的成績(jī)將在0至120分之間。

口語(yǔ)評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn):

新托??谡Z(yǔ)考試的評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)與其它外語(yǔ)類考試的口語(yǔ)部分有本質(zhì)上的區(qū)別。希望考生在看完本文之后能明白考試方向,并根據(jù)自己的特點(diǎn)去制定口語(yǔ)復(fù)習(xí)策略。我們來詳細(xì)分析口語(yǔ)考試每個(gè)分?jǐn)?shù)段的評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn):

四分評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)

The student answers the question thoroughly.

COMPREHENSIBILITY

The student can be understood completely.

ORGANIZATION

The student‘s response is well organized and developed.

FLUENCY

The student‘s speech is generally fluent.

PRONUNCIATION

The student has generally good pronunciation.

GRAMMAR

The student uses advanced grammatical structures with a high degree of accuracy.

VOCABULARY

The student uses advanced vocabulary with a high degree of accuracy.

從上表,我們能夠得知,口語(yǔ)分別從六個(gè)方面對(duì)考生的英文水平進(jìn)行評(píng)估。后四個(gè),流利程度、發(fā)音、語(yǔ)法及詞匯與雅思口語(yǔ)考試評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)相當(dāng)。不同的是,新托??谡Z(yǔ)考試在語(yǔ)法和詞匯的使用上要求更高一些。而發(fā)音和流利程度只要求是generally達(dá)到標(biāo)準(zhǔn)就好(generally=for most parts)。語(yǔ)法和詞匯方面則是high degree of accuracy。大家對(duì)詞法和語(yǔ)法方面經(jīng)常出問題的話,這時(shí)要注意了。前三個(gè),完整回答、可理解及組織語(yǔ)言方面,我們可以發(fā)現(xiàn)完整回答要求大家全面的闡述話題;學(xué)生自己的說的話應(yīng)該能夠被理解;組織語(yǔ)言方面,考生的Response應(yīng)該組織嚴(yán)密,邏輯性強(qiáng)。這就是四分對(duì)各位考生的要求。

GRAMMAR

The student uses either accurate easier grammatical structures or more advanced grammatical structures with some errors.

VOCABULARY

The student uses either accurate easier vocabulary or more advanced vocabulary with some errors.

從上表中,我們發(fā)現(xiàn)3分的評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)已經(jīng)降低了很多。大家注意副詞及轉(zhuǎn)折詞的使用,如adequately but…。在發(fā)音和流利程度方面,3分允許大家出現(xiàn)失誤。在語(yǔ)法和詞匯方面,已經(jīng)允許考生使用簡(jiǎn)單語(yǔ)法及單詞,而且可以出現(xiàn)一些失誤。相對(duì)于國(guó)內(nèi)能拿到大學(xué)英語(yǔ)四、六級(jí)的學(xué)生,3分一般都是可以拿到的。

The student has a number of errors in grammar or uses only very basic grammar fairly accurately.

VOCABULARY

The student has a number of errors in vocabulary or uses only very basic vocabulary fairly accurately.

一分評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)

ANSWER TO QUESTION

The student‘s response is only slightly related to the topic.

COMPREHENSIBILITY

The student is only occasionally intelligible.

ORGANIZATION

The student‘s response is not clearly organized and is only minimally on the topic.

FLUENCY

The student has problems with fluency that make-the response difficult to understand.

PRONUNCIATION

The student has problems with pronunciation that make the response difficult to understand.

GRAMMAR

The student has numerous errors in grammar that interfere with meaning.

VOCABULARY

The student has numerous errors in vocabulary that interfere with meaning.

我們發(fā)現(xiàn)2分及1分的平分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)已經(jīng)比較低了。所以一般考生參加過培訓(xùn)都可以應(yīng)對(duì)2分及1分的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。

總體上來看,新托??谡Z(yǔ)考試只有4分比較難取得,而1-3分都可以在培訓(xùn)后取得不錯(cuò)的分?jǐn)?shù)。

寫作評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)

六分:文章切題,闡說充分,文章有說服力;段落組織有序,銜接緊密,過渡自然,有很強(qiáng)的邏輯性;段落內(nèi)句與句連接順暢,句式使用恰當(dāng),靈活,嫻熟;用詞確切,得體。文章中有個(gè)別語(yǔ)法拼寫錯(cuò)誤,但不影響內(nèi)容表達(dá)。

五分:文章切題,闡說基本充分,在某些細(xì)節(jié)上有缺陷。段落層次組織有序,銜接緊密,過渡自然,邏輯性強(qiáng);句間連接順暢,句式使用恰當(dāng),靈活;用詞基本得體。文章中有少量用詞不當(dāng)和語(yǔ)法拼寫錯(cuò)誤。

四分:文章切題,闡說尚可,展開不夠。段落層次組織有序,銜接緊密,過渡自然,有邏輯性;句間連接基本順暢;有部分句法錯(cuò)誤;用詞一般,有時(shí)不得體。詞性區(qū)分和拼寫等有若干錯(cuò)誤。

三分:文章切題,段落組織基本合理,有邏輯性,但只存在于語(yǔ)義層次上,語(yǔ)言表達(dá)上未能體現(xiàn);句子框架結(jié)構(gòu)基本成立,但有許多語(yǔ)法錯(cuò)誤,句間聯(lián)系不順暢,往往是不善于使用邏輯連詞,顯得幼稚,生硬。詞匯方面拼寫錯(cuò)誤多,常有用詞不得體現(xiàn)象。

二分:文章切題。闡說沒有展開,只限于三言兩語(yǔ)地回答問題;沒有段落組織,很亂,長(zhǎng)度很短,只有一段;句子排列有一定的邏輯關(guān)系,能看出各句基本框架,但結(jié)構(gòu)或語(yǔ)法錯(cuò)誤較多;用詞不得體,拼寫錯(cuò)誤多。

一分:文章各方面都有嚴(yán)重錯(cuò)誤,句子不像句子。總體印象是根本沒有寫作能力,英語(yǔ)水平太低,夠不上二分標(biāo)準(zhǔn),只能打最低分。

以上標(biāo)準(zhǔn)提醒我們:

(1)作文要有一定的長(zhǎng)度,以便將論點(diǎn)展開,把問題談清楚。

(2)文章應(yīng)有若干段落,段之間應(yīng)有很強(qiáng)的邏輯性,使文章連貫,呼應(yīng),有頭有尾。

(3)句與句之間銜接要緊密,不能胡亂堆積,給人一盤散沙的感覺。
